I just found out that I’m pregnant less than 10 days ago, and I’ve noticed some blood on my underwear today. Is this something to be alarmed about?

This is called spotting, and it is quite common, so don’t worry too much. I believe around 20% of women experience it, and it’s just the body adjusting.
Like a very light period, spotting happens to some women in their early pregnancy so it’s not something to be worried about. It happens when the fertilized egg implants itself in the lining of your womb.
Sometimes called implantation spotting, it’s a little blood, kind of like a period, that can last up to 7 days in the first trimester, so it isn’t something to worry about.
