I used a tennis ball. Just roll that sucker back and forth across your back every night to loosen those muscles right up!
Ask your OB if you can take an NSAID pain reliever and see what they recommend. Also, sleep with a sturdy pillow between your knees to take some of the pressure off your hips and back. Take it easy, use heating pads, and consider modified stretches to keep muscles limber and strong.
